What is Amazon Vine?
Amazon Vine is a merchandising program that allows Vendors to send free samples of their products to verified Amazon reviewers in exchange for a guaranteed review.
Vine works like this:
Enroll your ASIN in Vine
Ship samples to an Amazon FC
Reviewers select products they want from a catalog of available ASINs
Amazon ships samples to reviewers
Vine reviewers leave reviews
From beginning to end, the process usually takes about 60 days.
How much does Vine cost, and how many reviews will my product receive?
Vine usually costs about $2500 per ASIN. Amazon typically requests 30 samples of each ASIN for reviewers, but they may ask for more or less depending on the category. The Vendor also covers the cost of the samples and the cost of shipping to an Amazon FC.
Each sample that is shipped to a reviewer should result in 1 review, but not all samples are always shipped to reviewers- a Vendor may send in 30 samples of an ASIN, but only have 25 “ordered” by reviewers. In that case, the ASIN would only receive 25 reviews, not 30.
